The first thing Mojabet does is to lock you into its Nigerian version. Once you open the registration form, the phone field is set to +234 by default, with no dropdowns or signs of an international platform. Essentially, you are registering with a Nigerian number, in Naira, and in accordance with terms and conditions specific to the Nigerian market.
We find the registration process to be fast. Too fast, actually. You enter your phone number, select your mobile carrier (MTN, Airtel or Glo), create a password, check that you agree to the terms of service, and you’re registered. A single OTP is all it takes – no e-mail confirmation loop, no bonus options. Fast, however, doesn’t mean without rules. Like with any licensed operator, you will have to verify your account. We’ve covered this thoroughly in our guide, along with any other key account registration details you may need.

Who Can (and Can’t) Register
Mojabet allows only Nigerians over 18 to join, and supports only NGN as its currency. Yes, this means you won’t be able to use an e-wallet or crypto here, but you won’t have to deal with any interchange fees either. For a local platform, we believe this is the right approach.
Mojabet is also very clear about geographic restrictions on access to its platform. If you are not registering in Nigeria or trying to use a VPN to bypass the operator, you risk having your account blocked and your winnings frozen. Therefore, it is advisable for users to consider this, especially if they travel regularly and/or use a VPN to access the gaming site.
In addition to limiting access based on users’ physical locations, Mojabet has a strict policy for verifying users’ ages. The operator reserves the right to require users to provide proof of their age at any time. Failure to comply with the age verification process may result in Mojabet closing the user’s account, without allowing them to dispute the decision.
Account Rules You Shouldn’t Ignore
Here’s where Mojabet stops being “chill”:
- One user can have only one account; having duplicate accounts results in account closure and forfeiture of any related winnings.
- Your Mojabet account is for your use alone, and sharing your account information with anyone else (even if it’s just “casually”) is against the rules.
- You need to keep your contact information, particularly your telephone number, up to date.
Mojabet may call the registered telephone number you provided during the verification process as part of its Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Failing to answer that call is not an option. - The telephone call policy is what gets most people in trouble. If Mojabet cannot contact you by telephone or email for at least 2 weeks, they reserve the right to lock your account and retain your money. We know it sounds harsh, but they are very clear about it.
Registration vs Verification: The Gap Most Players Miss
People usually learn the hard way that you can register and start betting rather quickly, but withdrawals are a different story. They are linked to the so-called Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Only after your account is verified will all withdrawals be processed in accordance with the general terms. In order to get there, here’s what you’ll need:
Common Verification Requirements
- Passport, National ID Card, Driver’s License issued by a government authority
- Selfie of yourself holding your government-issued ID
- Bank Statement or Utility Bill (less than 90 days old) showing proof of residence
- Photo of a bank card used to make a deposit or a screenshot from an e-wallet showing proof of payment method
- In some cases, Mojabet may require a photo taken while using Mojabet Live Chat in the background
If the documentation provided is not in the Latin Alphabet, Mojabet may require Video Verification to verify identity. Not ideal, but it is what it is.
The Important Withdrawal Rule
If you are making both a deposit and attempting to withdraw an amount less than 3x the amount deposited, Mojabet will apply a 15% withdrawal fee to cover transaction fees.
Even if no Bonus was taken, this rule will still apply.
While it is annoying when you are simply testing the site with a small deposit, Mojabet can rightfully do so.
Anti-Fraud & Bonus Abuse
Advantage play, in any form, will not be tolerated at Mojabet. This means:
- Creating multiple accounts in order to take advantage of welcome bonuses or other promotional offers.
- Using chargebacks, or disputing a deposit (e.g., claiming it was an error) after having already played with those funds.
- Providing false information during the registration process (i.e., using fake email addresses or phone numbers), or providing information that does not match the name on the account.
- Engaging in collusive behavior, or otherwise attempting to use patterns to take unfair advantage of our promotional offers.
If you are suspected of engaging in any form of advantage play, the operator will take immediate action without warning. They can close your account, void any applicable bonus, and remove all of your winnings. How fairly this plays out typically depends on your playing record.
